Tom N Toms Coffee, George Street

Assalamualaikum Sydneysiders! Mun and I are having our Christmas break for two weeks, so the other day we wanted to go to this cafe at Newtown but Mun was sleeping till past 5 (probably because we cycled 2 rounds of Centennial Park that morning) and the cafe was already closed by that time. I had to figure out a coffee shop that opens till late night and I decided to go to Tom N Toms Coffee! It's a Korean cafe which has two branches at Sydney, one is at George Street and the other one is near the Town Hall.

We went to the one at George Street

When we arrived, we went straight to the cashier to order cause each of us already know what we wanted to order. This was my first time here and I've been wanting to eat pretzels (it's so much easier to get pretzels in Malaysia; Auntie Anne's is my favourite). This wasn't Mun's first time and she has always ordered Honey Butter Bread. After ordering, we went downstairs to take a look cause there was two seating areas; upstairs and downstairs.

 Downstairs

They gave us buzzer disk while we wait, so we'd know when to take our food

Pretzel Combo for $10

I ordered a Cappucino and Cinnamon Sugar with caramel sauce for my Pretzel Combo. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't serve the pretzel as a whole but instead cut it into pieces. The pretzel was also was not as good as I was expecting (maybe because I had high expectations due to my experience with Auntie Anne's). On the bright side, I saved $1 for this combo because if I didn't take the combo, the drink and the pretzel would cost $6.95 and $3.95 separately (and that's without the dipping sauce). The coffee was okay and compatible with the price.

Also a combo, this one for $12

Mun ordered Honey Bread Butter and Hazelnut Latte, this one is also much cheaper compared to getting them separately. I personally think that the Honey Bread Butter is their specialty, it's definitely better than the pretzel. The Hazelnut Latte was also okay but not much for a coffee lover.

The ambience was nice but I still think they need to provide more air-conditioning during summer, it would be more comfortable. Overall it's still a great experience and I would come again to try some o their other food (most probably not the pretzel). I'm sure I would need to explore their menu to identify their specialty. You guys should explore too!
